Company History

1979
Dataplot (EMBLEM) was founded.

1983
Dataplot exhibited the largest range of plotter vinyl in Europe at the Hamburg trade fair.

1986
Started hardware distribution. Dataplot became a distribution for leading OEM's in Germany .

1992
Dataplot moved facilities from Hamburg to Henstedt-Ulzburg to a new building site with over 2400m² of office and warehouse space.

1996
Dataplot entered the ink jet media market their creation of the EMBLEM brand.

1997
Dataplot began selling its products outside of Germany. Today, EMBLEM products are sold in over 40 countries, including the U.S. and Canada.

1999
The production facilities were expanded to include a newly built warehouse.

2004
Dataplot established an office in Shanghai, China.

2005
An additonal warehouse with over 1000 m² of space was built.

2006
New product lines for finishing print media, with a width of 126’’, were added to Dataplot production.

April 2006
Dataplot opened EMBLEM Inc., it's U.S. based warehouse in Virginia.

Today, Dataplot (EMBLEM) produces and sells worldwide over 1000 products from a source of over 100 special papers, films, banners und fabrics.
